I’ve had multiple Escalades over the years, they get exponentially better with each generation. I plan to pick up a 2015+ next year, and happy to have the first owners take the 60% depreciation hit

All of the buyers of these cars sleep very well at night, because they have enough money that they don’t give the first shit about the depreciation of their car (and in the case of most on this list, that would be cars, plural). It’s rounding error on rounding error for them. Don’t be a poor.

Looks like all the ads left space for just the one picture. I keep coming back to this site just to see how much worse it can get. My expectations are always exceeded.  Well done.

Hey, if they’ll give you 0% APR you can get your monthly to come in just under $800 over 480 months, so, yeah why not?

I have a feeling the people who are compaining and tearing the film off have no natural interest in watching the race--just partisians and activists.

I am sure that made sense in your mind.

Not to mention maybe block the foot traffic of people who want to cross the bridge.  As somebody else mentioned, I think this is pretty standard practice at racetracks these days, as I recall Road America has them permanently blocked, though there are little slits you can peek out of.

Every race track I have ever been to has blocked visual access from the bridges - they don’t want people hanging out on there and overloading the bridge.  This is just a story about people in LV who have never been to a race track and don’t understand why this is done.

I’ve been on those bridges on a holiday weekend, they’re packed.  They were put in to get rid of the pedestrian crossings and help with traffic on the Strip.  Personally, I think it is just LVPD not wanting people camped on them or staking out spots for a week prior to the race and also keeping the foot traffic moving

Was the bonnet-mounted pedestrian disemboweller standard from the factory? Or a dealer option?

that looks kinda crowny.  fat in the middle and tall.

Apparently any topic can become a Jalopnik article if any transport vehicle was involved in any way. Who knew that the tagline “Obsessed with the culture of cars” was so flexible?

There’s two entire Dakotas where folks could move to and have almost zero impact on terkin’ other people’s jerbs.

This topic does not seem very Jalopniky.

Of course this selfish arse calls the incident an “accident” and not a collision or crash which is what it was.”

I’d define 94.7% - 92.1% as “a lot.”

If his insurance doesn’t cover it and he declined the LDW then he’s on the hook. He can pay the $35k, or he can get an attorney to negotiate a settlement if he thinks the true cost of glass replacement (+ owners loss of use, pain & suffering, etc.) is less.

Vacation Paradise Afghanistan. Remind me why I would want to go back?

The whole grift is largely unregulated, which is why officials want to get a handle on things.”

It’s shit like this why the youngest vehicles in my stable are 9 years old.  My wife and I have been sharing my vehicle for almost 3 years simply because the thought of having to interact with a car dealer makes me cringe.
