Yep, I remember it being A LOT worse a couple decades ago, but it’s still got a long way to go. 

I trust the advice and I “get it” and all that... but I can’t help but reflect on the fact that when I was growing up (‘70s/’80s) we fed our dogs literally everything that we didn’t eat ourselves. and I don’t remember any of the dogs dying prematurely.
