@Bueller: But aren't Rangers RWD? Cuz mine sure is...

@philosopher_dog: It really is not very hard to get the data off a drive if you have it physically in hand. Honestly, there are a number of ways, the easiest being to pop in a Linux Live CD in your stolen laptop. That has the ability to read all of your stuff off your hd even without logging in at all. It does not

Macs also have the ability to create a locked "drive" that exists on your hd or any external device. You can do it using only disk utility that comes standard on Mac OS X.

@AngelBlue01: A little bit of a left field idea, but you could throw a VM of a real light linux distro on there to act as your server for iFolder. This was you get to keep your windows server running basically as is and you can try out iFolder.

@Nitesh Singh: I'm aware of the other charts showing them all being equally as strong, however, based on a networking class I took being taught by a PhD in this field, I tend to disagree with you. Also, if those other channels were just as strong, wouldn't the manufacturers use them by default instead of only 1, 6,

@Mickets: =bitch. Sorry didn't think LH accepted that sort of language for some reason. Well the first 36 hours was thanks to finals week, the last 36 were because my body thought that meant I no longer needed sleep.

@LifesSweetDrug: Be ready to install a new kernel. You need the PAE kernel otherwise it won't work very well at all. Check out Ubuntu Studio.

@Nitesh Singh: Well that depends on a whole bunch of specs with your computer, so no nobody can just throw out a number and have it mean anything to you.

@ihaveabu: Um well the hibernate/sleep really depends on your computer. I've never had an issue with hibernate/sleep and I've been using ubuntu since breezy. One time it required a slight config tweak, but that was it. Also, my printer drivers take 10 words in the terminal to install.

@Mister Eee: I'm not so sure what could be the problem, but listen to TheFu. He really is an expert with VMs.

@XNRZ: How big are the notes you are taking? 40mb is quite a bit for small text files..

@Ozzie, The Last Hairbender: I believe that to be true. I have never heard of the microwave phenomenon before, so I'm not sure. That seems to line up with the random bits I've heard about it though.

@Mister Eee: I see absolutely no reason a VM would kill that machine. I run VMs on much lesser specced machines without issues. I think there is some other issue at play here.

@Mickets: Insomnia sure is a biotch.

@Mickets: You managed to get an extra 12 hours out of a day? Call up the Nobel committee!! haha.

@transientnebula: Those little cord holders are called staples. Should have em at any old hardware store. Just an FYI so you can locate em faster, or I guess so the OP can locate em faster.

@Nitesh Singh: This is not true. Based on how wireless works, the strongest channels are 1, 6, and 11. This is why those are the most used. There is a picture here that shows the peaks and valleys of a wireless signal. Sometimes, using channel 2 or 10 can be ok, but you're going to be getting the weaker power from

@Hasteur: Beer and Chili Festival!

@Kaiser-Machead v.2.2: I find that it happens every 5 minutes or so with it linked to Pidgin. Made me think it was some sort of inactive timeout thing.
