If there are materials prepared for the meeting, hold them off the table in your non-writing hand, spend the majority of your time focused on the materials, and look up only occasionally at whoever is talking.

i have a $100+ wusthof classic and a $35 victorinox fibrox, the fibrox is 80% as good, but you can't bolster it which is why i don't recommend it for people who really want to take the next step.
BUT, this is adequate man.... so if you have to look up what bolster means, then get the fibrox.
Even if (even though) the ruling was borderline...
yeah, 30 seconds to about 45 seconds, its terrible to watch.
i haven't seen him play a whole lot, but i saw a lot of 20 foot 2's in there. he's got plenty of other stuff but that's not the shot you want to live and die by. ask 2013 lebron when he couldn't get anything going against the spurs.
booooo!!! boooooo
lentil soup is great the night of, and is always a race between the R-train and my extreme intestinal distress the morning after.
i found the camera flashes way more distracting, so what the hell do i know.
from his grip you can tell its a flashlight.
I've listened to the major Stones Throw stuff for over a decade now (just bought Donuts in the 45 box set actually) and I hear more Radiohead influence in the tracks I pointed to than I do from either Madlib or Dilla — on THOSE tracks. Obviously they have more influence on the second half of the record, but D'Angelo…
I thought of BW especially when I heard the use of a trumpet mouthpiece as instrumentation on Sugah Daddy. That's a very BW thing to do. His mark is on this album in a lot of the instrumentation and composition as well which is a departure from Voodoo IMO.
I don't understand why you would come to the Deadspin Concourse to pick crate-digging fights. I don't claim to know every record ever made because those are always losing fights and you cite a few things I clearly haven't listened to as often as you.
The fact is, we can all trace every record ever made ever back to…
You're totally missing what I'm saying while somehow still illustrating my point. It shouldn't be ludicrous to suggest that a "Black Artist" was influenced by anything other than "Black Music". I don't think it's an absurd suggestion to say that 1000 Deaths and The Charade are influenced more by rock than they are by…
I totally agree about your statement on cross-racial borrowing, and suspect its something everyone knows but no one says. (At least, no one I know personally, or in the media, or whatever). Whites co-opting historically black culture is certainly well-documented and frequently identified, especially among those who…
Re: MBV
Valid, I can see where youre coming from.
As far as Black Messiah goes, I read something once that said people can debate track selection after a record has been established, but its not like trimming the fat can make something a 5-and-a-half star album... Unfortunately, that's not the case here, and I think…
I have a NYE party in 3 hours so I'm going to try to keep my thoughts restricted to 2 hours of typing. But there's non-rhetorical questions at the end!
The biggest thing that I think has been missing from all the discussion about Black Messiah is the tremendous impact that OTHER recording acts had on the album — ones…
there's worse choices than del rio and the man-genius.
del rio was a .500 coach for the jaguars. bet they would kill for those days.
the fake punt was not just an excellent play call but an excellent design. he knew they were sending them to block, so i think i could have completed that pass. put enough air under it when theres no defenders and i could catch it too.
here's your argument Samer.
Among other defensive linemen, JJ Watt leads or shares the lead in EVERYTHING. Fumbles recovered, defensive touchdowns, sacks, safeties, passes defended, turnovers forced, and tackles. He's tied for second in both interceptions and fumbles forced among DL.
League-wide, he's:
1st in in fumbles…
I saw these guys at a Florida Panthers Jewish heritage night a year ago during the holidays. They were good but the event was truly a bizarre spectacle. The panthers mascot wore a giant / long red beard, which, to be honest, I really have no idea how the suggestion ever cleared the legal department there. Which may…
it's insanely expensive because it should be. i have several taschen books and they are all very good. high quality, glossy paper.
