I really dislike it when people, especially bloggers tell me what to do.
.....Still going to buy it though :(

I don't know about everyone else, but Destiny for me is far more enjoyable when I turn my brain off while playing it. Trying to analyze it's lore would be like biting into a brick for me.
The one who's community respects my feelings </3 too bad that's absolutely fucking none of them.
A picture of Sera and disappointment in the title of this piece pretty much sum up my Dragon Age experience minus The Hinterlands.
For this title yeah, but watch and see if they extend the same understanding to Hatred at release.
When it comes to issues like sexual violence, racism, or killing civilians you'll find there is a lot of overlap between the two. No point bitching at just one half of the problem while the other is busy shitting out poorly written blog posts all over the internet.
"Games are art!"-Some people
Maybe all the levels suck?
Consider that?
Shots fired.
Dragon Age just got Klepek'd
Spot on for the most part, as I grow older and gain more responsibilities it's hard to find time for massive games and I honestly don't want to spend 60 hours on a game if it's quest design is as hollow as an MMO.
This makes so much sense it's insane to have seen him going anywhere else.
Congrats Patrick, and Kotaku for that matter, this is the best possible fit in the universe.
Looking forward to what this will bring!
Incoming indie dev copying the aesthetic and receive massive acclaim for their own "inventiveness" and "originality" in 3..2..1..
Let's manage our expectations here.
We would be able to change the habits of internet journalists x100 over before we can convince a publicly traded publisher *anything*
You're missing the point.
A lengthy, well written review, offers a lot more information to educate a consumer and give feedback to the developer. Scores just negate the entire point of even reading a review and create a toxic environment to judge games in where they are compared and contrasted with other games like…
But do people critique paintings with numbers?
2/10 colors
1/5 technique
47/100 theme
Nope, and neither should other forms of art. Van Gogh wasn't subject to any idiot with a blog who attached 1-10 to a series of vapid statements, now was he friend? :)
Games are art, not appliances that you rate on a scale from 1-10. Review scores are a cancer on the industry and the focal point of video game criticism instead of you know, actual fucking criticism. That's why I respect Kotaku for it's yes/no/wait system.
