I mean, I guess there's not that much of a time difference, and it's one less appliance, if you're making a single hot beverage.

That was common here for people who'd be in their late 80's or older now.
This was Hector's first concern =p
I think that's part of what got me; I never would have considered that America wouldn't really have them. They're so "normal".
I was curious if it was an American thing to not have them, or if it was also the case in nearby countries. I have no examples ready of where that's the case though.
Yup, that's it. And then you just use half flush for almost everything.
The problem with a show title such as 'Making Time' is that when the only torrent site you currently have access to (eztv) doesn't have it, googling "watch making time" is very unhelpful.
I think also because here it's much more uncommon to live in a dorm for university, and most students are still living with their parents, so have access to a wider range of cooking options.
I'll see what advancements IKEA online ordering makes in the next few months =p
Oh that looks interesting. I do like the attached pitcher.
That's possibly the biggest factor for me =p
Though Atom and Humber have made me fond of Sanchez, along with Mertesacker being out for so long.
Do you use it just for hot drinks, or also noodle based dishes?
Touchè.
Yeah, we use them for two minute noodles, and mi goreng is the poor uni student food of choice.
You fill it with water and turn it on =p
Happy quite belated birthday! You can have a new, later birthday this year! Pick your own date!
Hector's pretty convinced Sanchez is going.
I, by just now reading an article about this, and many other Australians on twitter today found out that Americans don't have kettles*, and are very confused and surprised by this.
I mean, I don't drink tea or coffee, and I find that odd.
Whoopsie.
Same. I think that's what draws me to read some of the posts without looking under the tags.
