They've been using it in the AHL this year. Think it starts OT w/4-on-4 like it is now and then the first whistle after 3 minutes of play it goes to 3-on-3. Total OT is 7 minutes I believe. Guess it's reduced the number of shootouts by a good bit and the 3-on-3 is pretty entertaining b/c it's so wide open.
