Yeah, they mostly seem like a good bunch of people from what I gather. I’m sure they’d fill the bigger arenas in the bigger towns if they could, but I’m glad they play at the places they do so I can see them relatively easily. It blew my mind to see how many big names in the scene play at places like the Mule Barn in

You could play that to ten more oblivions and it would still be a favorite.

It’s not still most likely that I don’t know what I’m talking about? Seems counter to your prior opinion

Still not on the team and still throwing out bad hot takes. Still think it was more for show than anything, but he didn’t get lit up, so there’s that.

Still most likely! Warming up didn’t hurt him, at least. So, bad hot take.

Well. Good thing he warmed up last night, I guess.

I am not! But I feel pretty good about saying that his throwing on the field last night isn’t going to affect his performance today, so it comes across as either a kinda weird attempt at intimidation (I guess?) or someone who is way more into routines than anyone I’ve ever played with. A lot of guys have gameday

In my defense, I humbly present my hot taeks in the relative obscurity of the grays, not under the bright lights with Fox MLB analysts looking on.

Most likely! But I feel pretty confident that how he pitches tonight won’t really have much to do with him throwing on the field after the game last night.

Are you?

Dumbest shit I’ve ever seen. If your ass is so dependent on whatever bullshit superstitious routine you’ve come up with, you deserve the ass-kicking you’re about to get tomorrow.

No doubt. I’m happy to talk about his music to anyone who wants to listen.

+1 to the “Idiot. +1" throwback.

Southeastern is his best writing, but he really stripped the sound back for the record and I feel like his singing voice is a little different on several of the songs. I like their live versions better pretty much across the board, so if you haven’t, pull up some live recordings of those songs on YouTube.

I 100% get what you’re saying. The type of music that we listen to, artists do generally start out more raw (I think that’s the best term for it) because they can’t afford to be polished, so they must have something that draws you in, and when that starts to change, you notice.

I didn’t get into the genre as a whole until a couple years ago, but I agree that Dances For the Lonely is when they started stringing together a few more quality songs per album, though I still enjoy a few of the older tunes.

AA was pretty inconsistent in their early years, but I think they’ve been killing it lately and the new band is probably going to be better than the old one. It’s kinda random, but I wish they’d re-record Dances For the Lonely the way they play the songs now. Anyway, I enjoy your posts on DUAN, so thought I’d throw my

It’s a good story that you now have, though, so that counts for something. But yeah, I never spent $70 for like 2-3 weeks worth of drinking in college, let alone on a single bottle. RICHIE RICH OVER HERE.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I remember seeing “Zukka’s Thoughts” and Spaceman’s Thoughts were “who the fook is this guy with his thinking and stuff?” But you turned out to be okay, so I’m glad you did that.

They didn’t use to be, but I will keep my mind open and check it out. Not saying they were necessarily wrong about a lot of stuff, but it used to be pretty hostile if you said anything that wasn’t 100% in line with the prevailing mentality.
