“These are not cheap cars.”
The CEO is 100% an asshole, but the poor fit and build just isn’t the case anymore. Picked one up late last year and it was flawless. Drives smoother, quieter, and faster than any car I’ve been in. Its so fun taking Mustangs, Subie STIs, and other ‘fast’ ICE cars off the line in comfort and silence. Charging at home…
These are not cheap cars.
Florida has a codified “shopkeeper’s privilege” law that allows merchants to detain anyone suspected of theft, including “transit services.” If I had to guess, that would be the airline’s defense. And given that this is Florida, I think that might actually hold. But hopefully instead it results in a nice multi-million…
Flightaware shows it was a 757 too (so none of the planes in the header image). There had to be some air since the plane was planned to fly at 35000', and it can’t pressurize without packs - the same things that provide AC. I mean there’s also the fact that apparently they detained the kid illegally and questioned him without a parental guardian so there’s also that.
I’m just going to leave this excerpt here: (from the Washington Post 12/14/21)
When it has:
Moral of the story: Just lie to them. gate agents are not federal agents so just say you are going to see your grandma over the river and through the woods. So long as the TSA isn’t asking the questions lying is perfectly legal.
Based on every experience I’ve had on AA, AA’s response is not as harsh as they likely think it is.
I hear that McDonald’s is also going to start banning people who don’t finish the entire drink in their combo meal, even if it’s mostly water from the ice melting.
I’m sure they’ll put a wild spin on something
