Having met a few major leaguers in my time, you shouldn’t have too much trouble. Besides all your awesome personal attributes, a lot of baseball players are kinda sluts.

Maybe I’ve just hit a 20-year lucky streak. The then-manager of my current building told me when I first looked at the apartment that I was free to paint the walls whatever color I wanted when I lived here, so long as the walls were white when I moved out.
Unless something has changed in the last month - which is certainly possible! - LA landlords aren’t required to repaint unless it’s a question of habitability, like lead paint flaking off a wall. It’s customary to offer to repaint around that often, though.
I don’t know the specifics of her lease, but in every one of my LA apartments, I’ve been allowed to paint the walls whatever the hell colors I want, provided I paint the walls white before leaving.
Up front disclaimer: I am not a lawyer. I have, however, learned an awful lot about California tenant law, especially as it applies to people with disabilities.
“Don’t be good. Being good is no fun. Have fun - just be careful.”
The kicker: FIG’s public reasoning was, “We don’t want people to try it and get hurt”. Which is just ridiculous and sounds like they’re trying to cover their assess for fucking this one up, especially since the internal reasoning was probably “Well, it looks like an I. Buuut... We have a G-rated dismount but no H…
Sort of? Maybe? Both the times we met were karaoke nights. When he went up to sing he pulled up the face portion of the leopard-print spandex morph suit he was wearing, so it was hard to tell if he was singing to me or our mutual friend. I don’t remember exactly what he sang, but I think it was inoffensive late-80s…
He died in February, but the movement seems to have been petering out for a while.
If a kid from this socioeconomic class went to LACHSA, I’m guessing it was at least partly because she wanted the experience of going to a school with a diverse student body that no one can buy their way into. Getting into and going there *means* something.
It's an endless bottle. Pull up a chair.
When I was trying to make sense of my whole mishegas, I realized that the guy in question plays a different part in my life story than I play in his. Sounds like that’s part of what’s going on for you.
Yup.
Oh, dear heart. Scootch on over so I can pour us big glasses of Been There Sauvignon.
The more I look into the Metropolitan Correctional Center, the more this seems standard. It’s like the place was designed to kill people off before they go to trial.
I get emotional watching her because of her utter disregard for conventional wisdom on limitations.
I’ve done some digging on this (I know, I have strange hobbies). From what I’ve read, it’s not advisable to keep someone on high-intensity suicide watch for more than 72 hours. Epstein’s previous attempt had been more than 2 weeks prior. If he hadn’t demonstrated suicidal thoughts since then, checking in on him twice…
Thanks! For some reason, I get into plenty of odd conversations at TJs. That one was by far the most boring.
I’ve spent a decent bit of time in Canada and among Canadians, especially since my parents moved close to the border. I seem to pass pretty well. I used to edit content for a Canadian website, so I can throw in local references for major cities.
I’ve had two removed, and I don’t remember feeling much of anything. It was like tampon-removal level of “Oh, something’s being pulled out.”
