I actually learned a lot about how not to write sex scenes (or, really, write in general) from Jenny Trout’s read-along of the Fifty Shades books. I’d recommend just about anything she’s written to see how to write *good* sex scenes, but her chapter-by-chapter breakdowns are things of beauty.

Oh, man, this sounds so familiar to me. What helped me the most was joining a counseling group for new students. I know you’ve said in other replies that individual counseling didn’t work for you, but a group might feel like a better fit. For me, I knew that there were a lot of people in my metaphorical boat, but it

That happens to me so much here in L.A. that I’ve had to conclude there are like four or five other women around who look exactly like me. I figure it’s plausible deniability if I ever decide to live a life of crime.

I recently had several late-night/early morning hours to kill at PDX, and it was a not-bad experience (which is really the best you can hope for at 2 a.m.).

When I was growing up, both of my parents were teachers. They were both known for their patience in the classroom.

I have a short “additional info” section at the end of my resume (don’t have it in front of me to see what exact phrasing I used for the header, sorry). My criteria for inclusion: Is this something that could add to the interview conversation?

If you want to work as an actor or other showbiz created, you dont want to be labeled “difficult to work with”.

You might just get nominated for several Oscars in that tims. You could even get asked to co-host, show up stoned out of your gourd, and still have people give you money to make movies because you’re such a scamp.

He says "#Troublemakers" like it's a bad thing.

You want a decent microwave-”baked” potato with minimal effort? Here.

Sounds a lot more productive than our active shooter training at work. Our parent company’s “security expert” is a former cop who spent most of the presentation talking about the warning signs that shooters give and how someone should have reported them, followed by showing us footage of an active shooting and

So, so sorry for your loss. I know you feel like you failed him, but I hope someday you can see that you did right by him. You gave him the very best shot that anyone could with the way you cared for him, and you loved him enough to know when it was time to put his needs above your own wants.

I was thinking more in terms of the “what happens after Romana decides to stay in a parallel universe,” but you’re absolutely right that this isn’t crucial to the rest of the show.

I actually looked up what happened to Romana during the Twitch marathon a couple months ago.

People who love movies, who live in one of the markets where this plays in theaters and can afford to do so, will go see it on the big screen. Figure tickets run $15-$20/apiece, plus transportation (remember, this will probably only play in 2 or 3 markets), parking, popcorn, drinks and what-have-you - and most people

Netflix usually does limited releases of movies they think have a decent chance at awards. That’s what they did with Mudbound last year, and they scored four Oscar noms.

A chance to work with Amma Asante, maybe? Belle was fanastic, and A United Kingdom wasn’t too shabby, either.

Next time someone asks me what the phrase “a shanda fur die goyim” means, I’m pointing to this.

I was never on the fence, exactly, but I wanted to keep my options open because I figured there was a solid chance I’d get baby fever at some point in my life. That point never came.
