Can we get a literal Kickstarter on this?

when does the violence begin? when are the guillotines rolled out? when do the voiceless, powerless, trodden upon masses rise up?

Hypothetically fuck this hypothetical guy.

Yes. Fuck that one oddly specific guy, indeed.

Now this is what I call an entrepreneur...

All but this guy. He can go eat shit and die.

WTF.

Reminds me of how I got laid off of my last job.

My manager sent me an e-mail the night before, setting up a conference call with me, and saying that he had “some exciting opportunities” to talk to me about.

The F***er told me to pack my desk on that call.  Still pissed about that.

To put this in perspective the founder of Cirque du Soleil and who owns most of the company, Guy Laliberté’s net worth is estimated at $2.5-billion.

I’d pay $50 to watch a livestream of tiny acrobats kicking the shit out of Daniel Lamarre.

There is only one Cirque employee who deserves to be fired: the guy who does rigging and scuba at The O. He’s the type of guy who leads on his girlfriend for SIX YEARS before dumping her with no warning, and who waited for that lovely, smart, educated, talented woman’s parents to take them to Prague and Vienna the

Mandatory PTO began January 1st of this year in Nevada, applicable to all employees not previously covered by a collective bargaining unit. Cirque is non-union, so there will be lawsuits. It’s complicated.

Honestly, I’d pay $35/ticket for them to just live-stream a performance if that helped them keep their jobs. I’d probably pay more than that. This is just...so sad.

Why do I suspect that this dude, as well as the company’s governing board, are going to get their usual bonuses this year?

We will remember you, any company that tosses employees this carelessly and crazily will never get a dollar of mine.

And this is why, when you’re a visionary creative type you have an HR department. You don’t freelance this sh*t. Let the pros do it. Just like highwire.

It’ll probably be a jurisdictional mess. A lot of lawyers are about to be very happy.

Yeah, I don’t understand this either. If they are actually laid off, then they legally have to be paid out for any accrued wages, including PTO. It’s nice that the full-time workers will have health insurance for another six months, but once again, part-time and contract workers are screwed.

My cats seem to do pretty well on that food, or at least the grain free version. Definitely the most “regular” they’ve been. And they seem to like it pretty well too. And it doesn’t cost mahoosive amounts. I’m a fan.

wait ... a roommate + a husband + a chubs cat + 45 lbs of cat chow. that is the state of the world today? Just know that while everyone else is hoarding crap paper you’ve cornered (albeit a small corner) feline MRE’s and you’re neighbors will be paying top dollar when the grocery shelves are wiped bare and the choices
