Subaru WRX, though all Turbo Subarus are a great compromise. They are fast as hell, reliable, all weather capable, somewhat roomy and cheapish to own and run. I'd say the WRX is the best example, though it could use a bit more room. The legacy GT is also good, but they no longer offer the wagon.

Back in 2006 I bought a 2003 Saab used from Warnock Ford in Morristown, NJ. I was living in VA at the time and was home for the holidays. A week or two passed and they were having trouble getting me the title so I had swap cars with my dad to go back to VA because my temp registration ran out on the Saab. A week or

Saab 9000 Aero. Not particularly reliable, but when running right they were fast. It was also a hatchback so he'd be able to accomplish some smuggling. 30 MPG would make for some good runs and when he needed to get away: "[t]he Aero's in-gear acceleration was strongly emphasised; the Aero was capable of

Crashing into an Arby's would probably be the only way I'd ever end up in one.

In my old NA Miata after I put a roll bar in I never bothered putting the parcel shelf back. I would store tools under carpet between the seats and infront of the gas tank. Gave me some room to back extra clothes when I drove it cross country.

Omni GLH. Impossible to find, but super awesome. I've halfassedly searched for one since 2004 and have never had any luck. Also, BMW 2002, but that's to be expected as they are old.

Finally, a manual electric car. The thing I didn't know I wanted.

Old cop cars. I like the look of the Crown Vic, but I've owned two Caprices over the years. Always a good time.

BMW 2002.

My Miata when in reverse.

I'm going to have to agree, torque steertastic. As Car and Driver once noted "an exciting drive, but not always for the right reasons."

Subaru Impreza Casablanca. JDM for life!

Hatch backs and station wagons work great. My 91 Taurus wagon was the best, but as far as small cars go hatchbacks suffice.

1986 911 Turbo.

So the right wouldn't buy a GM because they are government motors and now the left wouldn't buy them because the CEO isn't a fan of the president.
