I, too, hate comedy and the ability to laugh at yourself.

The fact that he then shared it is pretty impressive, though.
Why not? He got 64K RTs
I am astounded by the legs it has as a meme, but good lord is it well past the sell by date.
Listen. I like The Concourse. It does some great things with film culture commentary. This article is not one of those things. If you guys want to troll, go play LoL.
The way that you are defending it makes it crystal clear that the article’s title was a deliberate attempt to drive page views by people upset about the embedded spoiler.
Samer, maybe you should grow up and learn from your co-workers at io9 and Kotaku. They avoid crap like this.
Hey, maybe if I wasn’t normally such a fan of the site that I follow it on Twitter and Facebook so that the spoiler title had an extra two chances to do its work, it wouldn’t be such a big deal. No reason to be a dick about it, particularly when the article doesn’t exist for any reason other than to be a spoiler.
Hey, thanks for the fucking spoiler right in the title.
Looked to me like he got knocked off balance by the foul and went with his momentum instead of trying to stop on a dime, which can be an easy way to suffer a lower body injury.
With exception of a hip check, it’s pretty damn hard to stay on your feet through the whole hit. I’m a Caps fan but it’s always pretty clear that people with this complaint have never played the game.
It’s only a technical the second time. First time is a warning. So you get a reset but that’s it. And no one call the spacing or over the line unless it is absolutely egregious. As a Spurs fan, I was more upset by the a) really long 5 seconds they gave Waiters and b) Ibaka pulling Kwahi and LA down, keeping them from…
If you hosted a gathering of NBA players who don’t flop on the regular you’d be looking at an empty room.
Yeah...if only jones would matchup against some undefeated top 10 hw who was 13-0 at that weight class with wins over a fully roided Bigfoot silva, Nelson, Mir, Barnett and a strikeforce hw Grand Prix title....who knows how he’d ever fare against somebody like that because he ‘cuts 50 lbs’ to fight at 205.
I mean, that’s a perfectly fine opinion, but that’s not where the vast majority of people are in their thoughts on that fight. Judges included.
Probable. I guess heavyweight is a poor example of that. It’s just the natural weight argument always irks me.
“Natural weight” is not a thing. Combat sports organize by weight, not height. They always have. Natural weight is a bullshit excuse for Jones’s dominance.
I am always somewhat amused by the natural weight argument. Don’t get me wrong, weight cutting is a kind of an insane process, but saying Jones should fight Verdum at his natural weight seems odd considering Verdum cuts weight to get to that weight.
As I said below, in this context, putting quotes around “hacked” usually implies that a celebrity posted something that they regret. This is currently gray enough to give him some benefit of the doubt. I believe that he said specifically that he got hacked and not “hacked.” Do you have inside information that someone…
Except that this is exactly what hacking was (and is) for decades. Not computer magic.
