Is the copper actually doing anything, or is it just decorative? I remember hearing that copper mixing bowls will help egg whites stiffen, but that’s probably not the case if the copper is only on the exterior.

The advice of adults when I was a child: “If you can’t afford it, don’t buy it. That’s called being smart with your money.”

Somehow I went through the entire process of doing this, pressure cooker, jars, and all, before I remembered upon opening the jars that I am revolted by the smell of boiled milk. Which I will now get a big whiff of every time I try to use this toasted cream in coffee or in a cocktail.

Does the consistency of the coffee grounds matter? All of my coffee at home is ground coarsely for use in a french press. If I need to grind it finer, I’ll use some of the coffee I don’t really care for, like that batch I got from the in-laws at Christmas.

Had a bad experience with milk boiling over from a milk-cooked pasta recipe in the past when I turned my head for literally three seconds to sneeze. Got everywhere, took hours of scrubbing to get off. Decided never to do that again.

Too late. Just bought a gently-used S8+ off a friend’s wife, who was trying to get rid of it. It has the advantage that it was bought unlocked direct from Samsung, so it’s at least free of the usual carrier bloat.

My only concern when leaving a cash tip and the server doesn’t see it is that a different server will buff the table in preparation for the next customer and might grab the tip.

The only one I’ve seen in-person is Clam Base, and have no real use for it, so I haven’t bought it. I’ve never cooked clams, much less a clam bisque or anything of the sort.

BTB is the one thing I buy religiously at Costco. You literally get almost double the quantity for the same price as buying the tiny jars from the grocery store.

Storage ottoman that doubles as a coffee table (or, ordered in terms of usage, foot rest that doubles as a coffee table and triples as a storage space) has been good enough for me. Its primary purpose—to have somewhere to put your coffee/teacup when hosting guests or watching TV—is still highly relevant.

There’s a Punjabi restaurant not far from me, and I’m sure they resent the fact that I can never remember what they call their fried bread equivalent. The Indians call it “puri”. The Punjabi’s call it “chole bhature”. The Bengalis, I guess, call it luchi.

And let’s note his reply to himself:

The best thing I bought this year:
