Umpires are wrong on about 1 out of every 3 close pitches and about 15% of all ‘called’ pitches... It’s a hard job, which is why robots should do it.

I guess the Mets want to control his age 28 season before he leaves via FA for a big market team.

He leads MLB in walks. It would seem you are not the first to think of that strategy.

Another joyless take from someone who likely has barely watched him play beyond the highlights of his dongs - and yet *he* is the one with no personality.

Everyone seems to be ignoring the replay that was shown later in the game that shows the ref actually issuing the first tech. It’s very clear the ref intended to call the first tech on Kerr... he looked directly at Kerr, and then directed the signal directly at Kerr. If there is any reason to be suspicious of the

Agreed... In a short series that pen is even scarier. Fortunately for the Astros though, there seems like almost no chance they could see the Indians til the ALCS

Sure seems like the ref should have stopped the fight as soon as he hit the ground. Bad job

“Ha, I knew this guy would suck in 6 years!”

I agree that ~20-22 seconds is enough time. I’d be interested to see how different time b/w pitches is with runners on/off base. A pitch clock with nobody on base is something that should happen, but I wonder if it would have much impact.

Also, Lebron didn’t travel.

home run distance <-> dong length

Yea, I would be surprised if Fed made it past round of 32 at the French anyway... even that would be a good result for him after missing the whole clay season

If he takes the French- and barring injury, he will, he’s gonna be up near 7K ATP points... seems like he’s got a great shot to get back to #1

Mean this with love - Astros gotta make the playoffs (and they will) a couple times before their fans can sneak into the role of “jaded fan of perennial playoff flameout.” I know, I know, James Harden - condolences.

Very annoying youtube thing. You can get rid of it using UBlock Origin (or probably any other adblocker) by using the element picker (dropper on the Ublock menu)... you’ll have to do it multiple times to get rid of them completely. Also, at least in the case of Ublock, you have to do it from youtube’s website, not

The fun shock value here is in the headline, but the real story is the subsequent intimidation... not that a lawyer’s account counts for much.

Counterpoint: that last one is AWFUL. It’s a three on one break and Curry makes a behind the back pass... I guess it’s cool- I’m sure he knows not to try that nonsense in the playoffs.

over a reasonable threshold, high USG is just not in ANY way an argument for MVP, and his ultra high USG impacts all of those “value” stats, as do the rebounds he gets from his teammates boxing out for him to get free throw rebounds.

Not saying he shouldn’t win MVP- and I’m aware many other important stats exist, but if Westbrook wins the MVP, he’ll do so with the 2nd lowest FG% of any MVP in NBA history, and 2nd lowest eFG% since 1965, well below current NBA league average. So if, hypothetically, you were a person who wants him win that award,

I agree Wisconsin is better than Maryland- mostly because of the mismatches their good but inconsistent bigs create, the disappointing slide of Melo Trimble, and a late season injury- but Wisconsin’s resume (i.e. their actual real life accomplishments this season) was not better than Maryland’s. Wisconsin finished 4-6
