not really... i pay more for XBL and get pretty much jack shit except online play... at least when i pay for the same type of service with PS+ i get infinitely better options and more things... its no different other than the fact that PS+ gives you more.
remember this was supposed to be a complete optional replacement for the XMB? You were to be able to do everything you can do on the XMB but in a virtual world:

fair enough, its just interesting to me that people are willing to go out and lay down for a new unproven console for a few "choice" titles that have very little weight as full fledged games. Great, NSMB is fun with friends and good for a few hours... but it doesnt hold a console up on its own... its nothing…
