I'm definitely buying the artbook. The artbook for the first series was a great read and gave a lot of insight into how the show developed. Some of their initial character designs where pretty interesting too and it's really neat that some of them( ex. Naga) ended up being used in The Legend of Korra.

Nexus allows for better mod management. It's much easier for me to get my mods off of Nexus using the mod manager, organize them, and check for incompatibilities. I can not easily do this with Steam and I do not like having my mods automatically updated.

Right now the game is in beta and the only guaranteed way to get in is through Pre-Purchase. If you signed up during the 48 beta sign-up then there is a chance of getting in that way but it is not guaranteed. So, right now there are only a few options to get to try/test out the game.

Well really GW2 is B2P. You buy the game but you don't pay a subscription fee.
