You know I've heard rumors to the effect of "He's an asshole" & "He's the nicest guy in the world" so I'm going to call that a wash and just say his sentiment here is kinda a microcosm of what we like to see in shows at large: his character gets a chance to have an epic, memorable, and well-timed exit from a show
