Made even more sad that Clementine is just a victim of politics; it was all a show and no party was fooled. Theresa and co. were in on the fix, and Ford and Bernard (as an extension of Ford, gulp) knew full well that it was a staged, ultra-violent charade just to gain some leverage. She was a meaningless casualty.

"You're a fucking monster."

The Spore Monster Factory eps make me weep with joy

"Magnolia" either conjures up Herbert Ross or PTA - surely there was a better name somewhere in the mix.

After the Boxing Glove Arrow I just can't get it up anymore

Bad hombres.

As a grim, undiscriminating detractor of latter-day Simpsons, can I ask what you like about him as a showrunner? I plan on watching this episode tomorrow, given the praise in the comments section. But I just (and with no whinging or bemoaning the seasons lost) don't laugh at the Simpsons these days. Are Selman's new

Ah, well I will admit I missed that then. At the very least the "If you can't tell the difference, does it matter?" ethos is becoming an increasingly large screw to the audience, if she is knowingly used in both present/past timelines. With the story-listening robot that Ford talks to being the exemplar for the "old"

It's poor writing. He's a shit character. I get that the overall idea is to fight Zack on his impatience for the mystery, but characters like Lee Sizemore diminish Westworld.

This was easily my least favorite episode of the season, and in spite of this I was still absolutely floored by Thandie Newton's performance as Maeve. She controls every scene she's in, and she remains the one character in whom I'm invested beyond their role in the overall mystery.

Phonetic ambiguity?

“Welcome to Westworld. Live, without limits.”

*dreamy pointless white guy looks on in docile admiration from a receptionist desk*

Thank god there won't be anyone complaining about corrupting the source material. Right? Because MRAs are rational. Right?

"Cozy ethnic humor"

An equally efficient review, I see!

His girlfriend though…WOOF

Theme from Westworld plays ominously in the background

Look up Phineas Gage for the cold arbitrary delineation of "who you are" and "what has happened to your brain" - TBI and the realms of human consciousness that you are deprived of by the caprice of a single accident is to me one of the cruelest realities of this world.

I'm a big ol' sap and am reduced to tears specifically when it comes to acts of forgiveness, and Giles' quote from Buffy always comes to mind.
