That's pretty much it. I can understand WHY they might change it, but at the same time, J'son comes with his own villainy, even if he's not a cosmic force per se. But Ego? Really?
I'd still like to know what was wrong with J'son being his father. Like in, you know….the comics.
I suppose I'm thinking of his age in Generations as "old," true, but if the MCU has shown us anything, they can do some pretty ridiculous de-aging via CGI, and it's likely not as expensive as most of the rest of their pure CGI crapshoot. I'm just saying, the opportunity was there.
It could have been a recording of Kirk in his old age before his death. An old recording, if you will.
My mom whines about the fact they didn't have old Kirk show up somehow to this day.
Yes. And I'm not a hater of that movie in general, but this is definitely the better film.
I can only upvote this once, sadly.
Yeah, the moment they showed that video on the screen when Kirk walked in, I knew Elba had to be one of them. It was just a matter of time until they explained why.
That sounds about right.
Jones regular cherry soda is like eating delicious maraschino cherry juice. Which is why I don't drink it because I'd balloon from drinking way too much.
My mom still cries about those not being around anymore.
I know we've all pretty much stopped reading the articles at this point, but that was actually mentioned.
If so, that sucks, considering they were churning them out like crazy. (Three Metallica tributes, at least two NIN tributes…) I mean, I liked some of them, and some covers were pretty good, but it got fucking ridiculous at a certain point.
True, but it was on the collection, so I went with it.
"Charlotte Sometimes."
The string quartet albums. Fuck, I'd forgotten about those.
I didn't have this album, but the song appears on The Cure's expansive "Join the Dots" set, which I do have. And honestly, it's not a terrible song, but since I was never a Hendrix fan, I never really paid it, or their cover of "Foxy Lady," much attention.
Cleopatra Records was the worst offender. You couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting a "Gothic Tribute to….." albums.
It was mentioned, very briefly, in my classes. It was definitely not discussed with any detail.
