@FiddlingWhileJimRomeBurns: I've been happily rocking v2 on my mini 9 for a month now. I agree. It's not ready for primetime. It still needs more lipstick and polish, but it's getting there.

Um, doesn't Murphy's Law indicate that it's impossible to choose the correct line?

@jjarrard0: The USB on cable boxes is used for expanding DVR capacity using external hard drives, if it's even enabled at all.

@Toribor: Works like a champ on my 8600.

@EnzoFX: It's most certainly possible.

@Ryan Bartlett: What's your point? My Compiz'd Ubuntu idles at 0.

@dmsuperman: One of the advantages of Linux is that it can be as bloated or unbloated as you'd like it to be. Compiz is no exception. True, you can turn all the effects on and put your little sister's myspace page to shame, but you can also, gasp, actually use it to increase your productivity.

@valadil: Or, the Compiz plugin, Put.

I prefer Midori.

@HeartBurnKid: Agent of R.O.A.C.H.: I'd be far more curious as to what google analytics says about that. On sitemeter, firefox is over 50% and opera just over 3%.

I did something similar with an old broom handle, a wire hanger, and a couple of strips of duct tape.

And, your one liner for ubuntu-

"Occasionally you will find a reputable site or service to which you are willing to hand over those credentials, so it's not set in stone that you can't give them out."

@Malia Lyons: Yup. That must be a pretty good spot for a picture. I took an eerily similar picture when I was in Hawaii.

Since no one has done it yet, I'll quote Roger Waters on the issue.

And for your useless tidbit of the day. Your VAP is actually the component, Sang.

@the_boffin: Installing the Microsoft core fonts, or the ubuntu restricted extras nets you 13.

@soggy_cheerio: This is specifically in reference to a cross platform solution.
