No problem!

There is perhaps not as much of a line as you think. I dunno if you’ve been to a strip club before, but for all the ones I’ve ever been to there is an actual expectation of you doing shit with the dancers. These were in the US, and ages ago, in a pre-Me Too world. So things may well have moved on since then. But you

At first, I was ambivalent on the strip-club allegation on the grounds that, if you go to a strip club, you should probably expect some level of debauchery to occur (this doesn’t mean her actions at the club weren’t dickish, but are within the bounds of what you’d expect from drunken revellers in that kind of

Too bad it’s bullshit.

I may have ended that section on too strong a note by quoting the ‘arrogant, self-centred and unkind,’ line - although plenty of self-advocacy in the music industry involves a hefty dose of the former two and I’m not sure Lizzo is any different in that regard.

You’re approximately 2 minutes late on that comment - see my reply to Murry Chang.

Actually, I agree with you. I based that assessment on the AV Club’s write-up which doesn’t actually mention Lizzo organizing the after-party. But having read the NBC report... yeah:

Couple of (conflicting) stray thoughts on this:

I don’t know enough to say whether or not the bomb dropping was the correct decision, or the best decision that could have been made at the time.

‘Dropping the a-bombs was justified,’ is a reasonable statement, and arguably a correct one. ‘The citizens of Japan deserved to be a-bombed’ is much less tenable position. A small distinction, maybe, but an important one.

It’s probably a reasonable PR move on the part of Japan’s Warner Bros if there are people in Japan reacting to the memeing.

Something that’s been really interesting/irritating to see wrt this movie is how, back when the trailer was released, literally every single mention of it online that I saw was accompanied by a joke about Tom Holland getting cucked. Not just in the comments, but sometimes by the publications themselves.

Do you think the producers of Saw ever say to themselves: ‘Man, I wish we’d had the foresight to not kill off our franchise’s main antagonist in the third film, so we wouldn’t have to keep finding ever-more laborious ways to justify his presence in subsequent sequels. I mean, in hindsight, we could’ve just made him a

Sorry for the reply. Yeah, that’s absolutely true. Gerwig’s hardly being subtle about the ‘Kens = women’ analogy, but typical chuds too busy foaming at the mouth to see the obvious.

1) People are mocking conservatives for getting outraged by saying ‘it’s just a kids’ film.’ But that’s literally the point. They’re outraged because they see it as both a symbol and amplifier of a worldview that they hate, and one that is (arguably) directed towards impressionable children. It’s weird that people

I call out ‘Allahu Akbar!’ because I like to live on the edge.

Now I am become hard.’

He made basically the exact same post on one of the Harry/Meghan articles (to which I have provided basically the exact same reply).

‘Oh no, working class folks who handle garbage disposal in a cost-effective manner. Clearly the social justice issue of our times!’ - Milligna000 on the mafia

The ‘therapist’ you’ve cited is actually a social worker. So, good job there.
