I have this dream of Emily Blunt playing Aetheflaed. It would be something to behold.

Three notes about this episode and two small excerpts to complement the episode:

I believe the main difference between those two relationships is that Major would have been Duncan in VM. That is, the old boyfriend that you think will eventually come back. And in my limited experience with CW series, that almost never work. If you think superhero shows, the "main" girlfriend turnining out to be a

Why is Brida "a bit of an anachronism"? I supposed someone who enjoy Vikings would have no problem with that!

Have you read the books? I love this passage about Uhtred and Leofric:

Good episode, I enjoyed the first two more because they nailed a fast paced narrative extremely well, but this one did show a lot of the characters that I expected to see. In particular Uhtred talking about the three spinners made me smile. And it was very interesting to see that Alfred doesn't suddenly became a

It's worth noting that Beocca is also extremely important for this scene to work as well as it does.

This show is worth your love, sir!

I suspect it was Leofric because of the Earsling, and then I saw an interview with the actor and he is indeed playing Leofric.

This second episode was pretty much everything I could have hoped.

That was great. I'm sure the residents of Star City will be sorry they can only vote once.

I just mentioned this in response to another comment, and I can safely say that the fact they skipped Brida's intro is more than made up for in the second episode.

You'll be happy to know Brida is utterly awesome in the second episode. And make up for her missing "origin" and then some. And then even more.

This is the first series based on books that I've read them way before the series was even announced, and having loved the books, my hopes for this series were immense.

I think it is to keep in tone with the books. Cornwell deals with sexual matters with a lot of subtlety. This first episoded kept within those lines very well.

My mother asked me to express her strongly dislike with the changes the show is making. And that whoever is doing that should stop doing that.

Maybe she and Ravi will be a thing? And if she isn't good, at least she isn't bad either.

The pacing of this show is just extremely good. The way they handle information and the connection between characters and events is crafted to excellence.

I don't think it's an exaggeration to say this is the greatest idea in the history of the universe.

Great news.
