Great skin, too.
Great skin, too.
That speech was incredible. Brava to Oprah!
Thanks Obama Oprah
Him resigning in disgrace doesn’t change that he was a good politician.
Dear lord, that was a speech. Brava Oprah. This was the first awards show ever that didn’t feel like an awkward office holiday party that everyone is resentful of after the novelty of free apps and an open bar wears off. It felt fresh and passionate and powerful.
Al Franken was a celebrity with no experience and very good politician. I believe intelligent, inspired, involved people are who we need. They can learn the protocols of the office.
I was wondering where that was.
Sort of off topic, because her speech was great, but Oprah looked the absolute best I’ve ever seen her look; everything (hair, makeup, dress) was perfection. I wonder who designed her dress?
Wow. That was phenomenal!
Oh I needed that. We all needed that. Thank you, Oprah.
Oh dear, well that’s it I suppose. Everything she said is null and void! The women deserved it, nothing will change, and the real villain is Oprah and not the men committing the acts! Shut it down folks.
So, Oscars are shaping up to be Lady Bird vs. Three Billboards. LB didn’t resonate with me as much but I’d get over it if it won. Margot Robbie and Frances McDormand were both better than Saiorse Ronan though so that shouldn’t happen.
😭
I think the offer of 40% was fair and I’m kind of surprised they didn’t take it. Aside from the first minute, the songs are completely different. She intentionally or unintentionally cribbed the first verse or two, sure, but what makes Creep so memorable is really the chorus and especially the bridge.
“There are about a million songs with this underlying structure.”
Name me one other song that has that chord structure for the verse.
It’s great it turned out this way but:
I would like Paris to go back to being not news worthy. No hate, I just find her so boring.
Loved the interview. I don’t care if he occasionally is a grinch when it comes to sci-fi and the like —in my opinion Tyson has earned his place as Sagan’s heir as our chief science communicator. This is one of my favorite things ever:
