You know I kept seeing all of these references to the nectar that is lemonade and then I see the name Rachel Roy . . . who I kept seeing as Rachel Ray . . . . Then I see someone complain about Gawker not covering Lemonade instead of one of the Koch brothers and I then discover the other Rachel Roy article (who I have

I am so glad I am too old to know what the fuck is going on anymore.

Also as a side note I feel like the word *drama* gets used in a really gendered way, specifically as dismissive of women’s voices, feelings, experiences.

I mean you can. But I think it wouldn’t really be fair.

Go see it in a theater. We went yesterday and it was amazing to experience it with a crowd. Applause, cheers, singing along... it was the first time I’d actually seen the movie, and it is awful in a lot of ways but damn if it doesn’t transcend all reason to be a great film.

A small town? A series of inexplicable murders?

Maybe she doesn’t care that he kicked her off the stage. Maybe she just cares that she got to meet him.

There aren’t many that will be labeled as such when they die. Sir Paul of course. Elton John maybe? In most cases you are correct, it is hyperbole. Totally warranted in Prince’s case.

Agreed. Petty just wanted to get off stage. The only one who gets it is Dhani, whose dead father they’re honoring, and whose dead father was one of the Beatles. The look of unrestrained joy on his face says it all.

Yeah I figured as much.

Disdain may not be the right word. To me it seems like Prince wanted to celebrate Harrison’s career and music and Petty just wanted to play some songs (which is really all he’s capable of doing). So to use Deandre Jordan, I think Petty is Deandre Jordan shooting free throws and Prince is Chris Paul watching him miss

You’re insulting Bobby Jones with that comparison. At least Jones could recognize the difference. I mean, I enjoy Petty (his music, he’s a fucking asshole), but he’s not particularly talented compared to the greats.

Prince is one of those artists where, even if you didn’t love him personally, I’m 100% sure that at least one person you do love wouldn’t have become a musician without him. His influence was just astronomical.

What are you talking about? Petty was mailing in a performance celebrating Harrison and Prince wanted to celebrate his music. I have no idea where you’re getting the idea anyone was insulting George Harrison.

Halfway through the solo, Prince smiles and nods over at Petty. Its this gleeeful look of “oh you fucking know I’m not done yet”

We throw the word genius around a lot in regards to our entertainers. 99% it is undeserved. I’m not a massive fan of his, but even I know that Prince was a fucking genius.

Now playing

They should combine forces with these ladies:

Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes YES.

Now get those kids rights to match their skin. Tights and pointe shoes were made in colors that elongate the leg lines, and a huge bias shows that it's so hardto find them in a range of skin tones.
