Every time Musk steps out of his lane like this it makes me gladder than ever about the natural-born citizen clause in Article 2 of the Constitution.

The point being made is that the $800 dollar ventilators do not meet the requirements needed for COVID-19 patients (but the $50k ones do).

Musk has Narcissistic Personality Disorder and it becomes apparent every time he speaks in public whether it is related to his area of expertise or not.

Summary: He talks out his ass with little regard for facts. He’s perfect for a startup.

I don’t think this had anything to do with heart. He was buying $800 ventilators and trying to pass them for $50,000 units. So for a thousand units he was probably going to get some sort of future $50mil writeoff for an $800k investment plus all the good publicity. He is too smart for this not to be planned and…
