The argument I’ve heard from Trump supporters is that “drain the swamp” really focuses on lifetime government officials/bureaucrats who have spent decades in various federal positions while “nothing changes” and neglecting America (economy, etc.).

If you learned that last year, I think you learned something wrong. The national. polls on the general election were pretty close...I think on the eve of the election they had Clinton winning the national vote by something like 3 points, she won by 2.

This is why I think Democrats need to focus less on trying to persuade people that their ideas are right, and focus more on getting people who already do (the majority of the country) to get out and vote.

I don’t think this is assuming dogs are aggressive so much as it is assuming *nothing* about the dogs’ behavior and making sure the kids don’t provoke a negative reaction. This is excellent advice — and it also works for overly excited dogs who jump up. Those dogs aren’t aggressive at all, they just haven’t learned…
