Absolutely. I’ll even raise you one… I don’t think we spend enough time reflecting on the fact that we really don’t know what “we” means.

I’m not assuming anything. I asked you a question that it looks like you can’t answer.

So now we take a step back and see that the population of PA has risen steadily for a number of decades. As has car ownership, commuting distance and miles driven. There are a lot more cars on the road now than there were 50 years ago. We also see that you’re one of the largest producers of fossil fuels, mainly nat

Black people pay taxes (I just downloaded my biweekly pay stub..BOY DO I PAY TAXES and yes, I’m Black) - Latinos, Asians and American Indians pay taxes too.

Lost my old burner code and haven’t told anyone to ungrey me. I’ll get around to it.

Okay. Pretend I’m a third grader then. Explain them to me.

That’s a completely relative perspective though. What’s the barometer for “good” road improvement? Or “good” value? In a state as large as PA? With several very large cities, mountains, major bridges, waterways and a port? How does one define a “faster rate” and what are we comparing it to? What’s the long-term plan

Problem - What is money? And who are taxpayers?

Classic conservative tribalism. “Us,” the hardworking, honest silent partner with no real power over how our taxes get spent… Yet “we” do all the work… Versus “Them,” being the corrupt, inefficient, often lazy spenders of other people’s “hard-earned” money.

That actually looks like a lot of fun. Give me a sack of mushrooms and some CCR and I’d spend a weekend doing that.

Incentive to get better? Um… They basically have the best business model in the industry. Capitalize on fear, cultivate tribalism, play to religion and make people dumber. The dumber they get, the more they watch FOX News. They’re about as “good” as it gets, as far as finding their niche.

But no, you’re fundamentally right, the parties are just a fact of life right now. And the pragmatic, adult approach is to just deal with it as best we can instead of being so holding our noses and being idealistic.

He said, words dripping with privilege.

Yeah, I guess rooting for the people who control virtually all of our government to fail miserably is pretty progressive.

In all honestly, that’s even a pretty half assed list. Its ignoring their climate change, LBGTQ, xenophobic, anti-choice and pro-police at all costs policies. To name just a few.

Jill Stein? Is that you?

Shots fired.

Meh. I think at this point, really dedicated GOP supporters are basically in it for the racism. I think bait and switch the GOP has been pulling plays a small part but its mainly just the racism.

I am a successful American Business Type Person, and when either me or my company receives a tax break, the first thing I do is turn around and give all of those additional funds away to The Poors. Mainly because reasons I think but also probably because of Jesus.

Only in America can protests against racism be confused with protests against patriotism.
