Frankly, I can comment on KimChi and the aspects she presented on a television show I watch. Just as you are.

There's nothing hypothetical about it. Bob put on the best show all of Season 8, being the consistently most entertaining aspect and routinely besting the competition.
KimChi wasn't going to win because Bob The Drag Queen outplayed her.
That type of crude and mean comment about the Pit Crew was unnecessary, distasteful and bitter.
Oh. I hadn't realized that. Than this is even more absurd since KimChi can earn serious money being a successful drag queen. And before any one comes for me, money makes a HUGE difference in how "accepting" people are, including (and sometimes, especially family.)
Ridiculous. It might as well be a sitcom. "Reality" television is just as scripted and dictated. The audience expects to be entertained by "characters." Is the concept of reality television completely new to you?
Then why go on RuPaul's Drag Race and put yourself in "the most public forum possible"…in a gown and full make-up?
I wouldn't call him the second coming of Bianca ever, because I think Bob The Drag Queen is FANTASTIC and shines bright all on his own. I would spend money to see Bob over all of the other drag queens this show has produced.
Jennifer Holiday AND Carol Channing were complete (most pleasant) shocks for me!
That's good to hear. Alaska never felt fresh to me. Not entirely her fault for being so indelibly tied to the really strong Sharon Needles. Plus, I found Alaska's voice too monotone and lacking in humor.
I always thought Alaska was VASTLY overrated.
I love ChiChi but I'm fine with the top 3. Sure, she could (perhaps, should) have replaced Naomi but the final four was the best the show has ever had.
I think that makes sense. It happens in most beauty pageants.
By the finale, I would have been happy with either.
I agree. I can empathize with cultural expectations but I cannot accept that KimChi/Sang would participate on the premier drag arts show and still not come out to her mother. When does being closeted when participating in the world's gayest television show not become cowardly?
I loved how clearly Mama Ru adored ChiChi. Can't blame her. ChiChi is so endearing. Plus, she looked fabulous last night.
Season 2 crown but, yeah, she looked extra basic last night but I thought Sharon Needles did as well.
