As I said elsewhere this is a kid trying to break into a tough market. I chose a career path that isn’t nearly as “cool,” but makes a lot more money. I also paid $150,000 for law school (t14 school) so that I could have a little security. So in a way I did one better than working for free after college.

I did lose a job once, I got another one immediately partly because I was smart about developing skills and contacts, partly because of luck. It could have turned out differently even with all the work I put in, and I would have worked for little or nothing if that’s what I needed to do.

If you are a fresh out of school grad looking for a coveted job in baseball, that’s good advice. If you want money, go work for Bank of America.
