Remember, calling a white person racist (even if everything they do is racist) is the worst speech offense you can commit. Donald Trump can call Mexicans rapists, he can tell people that only Jews should count money, he can be sued for racial discrimination against black people, and he’ll still be elected president.

Missed irony loves company

When you get right down to it- all she did was say what the NY Times has been saying for months and what a large plurality of Americans already believe.

So it doesn’t matter how professional you, how educated you may be, if you’re conservative (the “stick to sports” crowd) you still misunderstood the first amendment? (which is ironic)

My mom listened to the Deadcast, and wrote me:

“Sent from my T-Mobile 4G LTE Device”

On Around the Horn yesterday Toni Reali and the panel generally expressed their support for Jemele Hill, which I thought was cool, though I think only Sarah Spain unambiguously said that she agreed with her comments & that they were necessary. I was a little surprised the network let them do that, actually, since ESPN

I don’t know, Don, a lot of people are saying it. I keep hearing so many people saying “Donald Trump is a tremendous white supremacist.” I’m not making that up, ask them. Many, many people keep saying it, believe me. So many people, record numbers of people.

“People are dumping it in RECORD numbers!” This simple lie is so tangled in his stupidity and inability to deal with facts it should be taught to all future generations.

“If you can convince black women though, watch your career go to stratosphere.”

The last paragraph of your comment is everything! “...black men are not the gatekeepers of black culture, black women are.”

Everything about this article:

Well researched and written. The biggest takeaway is that she should have listened to the people around her. Even the song you posted in the article, had she dropped the blaccent and gone with Valley girl ala kesha in the first part of her career that would have been a cute little underground sleeper hit.

This may very well be true. Either which way though, it’s a First Amendment issue which everyone still loves to rage about

The family or the boy in particular may be religious, especially with the answer about God and family. Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t say the pledge and I believe that’s true of some other religious groups such as Quakers (Society of Friends). This may be more of a faith issue than politics à la Kaepernick.

The pledge of allegiance is so bizarre if you take 2 minutes to actually think about it.

Stoney Chaney, civil rights fighter, attacked for exercising his first amendment right.

People who demand respect or obedience to symbols or the rote chanting of words don’t really understand the whole point of the American Revolution. This is a brave little boy exercising his rights as as an American.
