The chain of events Carol's various threatenings set off in that poor family, though. She's one inadvertently deadly woman. She was 50% responsible for pushing Porch Dick/Papa Pete over the edge which led to his death and sparked the resentment that caused Ron to point a gun at Rick so he could catch a sword shanking.

Am I supposed to be wondering if Dinah is some kind of Prometheus plant? Cause I'm totally wondering if Dinah is some kind of Prometheus plant. She's too good to be true.

Fantastic first ten minutes and then it goes spotty as hell. It was half encouraging and half everything I didn't want it to be.

If viewing The Flash in a vacuum, it indeed appears to be an oversight. But we know the practical reason the producers/writers let him run off is that they knew he had to be free to go be the villain on their TV cousin show.

I agree with that, but literally half the Legends team has been believed dead only to return later. They should never discount anybody for being dead.

The time remnant Barry met last year is doing his time remnant job, though. That's why nobody's after him. He's going about his little chunk of business that can't be altered without undoing the timeline so he's unknowingly doing the Speed Force's work. This Thawne: not so much.

I thought about that myself last night. I just didn't imagine it as a comedy scene. That would be fun. Black Flash roars nonsense the way we saw in the episode, but they subtitle all of that logic parsing over it.

Thawne can never be fully eliminated or else nothing we've ever seen on the show would have happened. That's why his time remnants still exist. This remanant is going rogue from his role which is to simply make sure the timeline happens the way it's meant to. That's why Black Flash is after him. He's not going to

Nope. The review misstates it by saying he wasn't affected because he's part of the Speed Force. Unless that's the reviewer's way of saying this Thawne is a time remnant. Because that's what he is. This is the Thawne that Barry snatched and held captive during Flashpoint.

This was easily the best episode of this show ever. And much needed because I've been on the cusp of dropping it completely this whole season.

This was my favorite Flash episode in a good long while. Probably since the bonkers fun of King Shark last year. Honestly, it might even be my favorite ever. The geeked out smile I got during the multiverse tour's visit to CatCo was supremely welcome. It's the little things.

Overheard in the Legends of Tomorrow production office during the development of this episode (probably):

Given all the Zoom lies we eventually realized were told, I've been wondering if that portal/breach story was ever even close to true for a while now. I'd have to go back and watch season 2 again to parse truths and lies to know for sure, but that's such a torturous prospect.

Upvote deserved for the shitting on Cisco's desk line alone.

But Harry and Jesse were shocked as shit by the Flashpoint-induced changes to Team Flash and STAR Labs despite their extremely intertwined connection to Earth-1's events. That suggests alterations are indeed localized to the universe they occur in despite any cross-dimensional interactions. That's why it's a grand

I'm pretty sure we already saw Evil Felicity during season 4. There was a secret, off-camera swap and she's who we put up with all year last year. Evil Felicity's codename is the ever-so-slightly tweaked Overwrought. So much cry face with that one. Real Felicity's back this year, though…

This is sort of a Flash-heavy post, but Black Siren's appearance makes it Arrow-relevant as well…

We're getting a lot of that lately. When Sara yelled at Barry for messing with the timeline during the crossover, my immediate reaction was, "Dude, do you even know him?" And then I realized she really genuinely does not. I don't think they'd ever met on screen until the crossover which begs the question if they had

I wasn't even thinking about Savage at the season's end game because everything about the meteorites in the three different time periods was utter nonsense.

What you said seemed to suggest that what the Legends are doing is lesser than Barry and I disagreed. A minor time action by Barry has a proportionally larger impact to the size of the act itself because of his Speed Force nature, but the Legends are engaging in so many medium (sometimes large) timeline alterations
