Because Anime Limited were refused permission to distribute screeners for the BAFTA Awards in the UK. The production committee are afraid of a screener copy being leaked on the internet, and as pretty much everyone know by now Oscar screeners always leak.
The panellists never received screeners for Your Name, the production committee refused to allow any to be distributed.
Odd, its been out in the UK Region B on Bluray for 2 years now. The soundtrack is also getting a limited 500 run clear vinyl release here in the UK next month along with a steelbook re-release of the Bluray.
