I can’t totally disagree. The Killing Joke is amazing in its characterization of the Joker, but sucks so hard in its characterization of Batman. Alan Moore absolutely hates the very concept of superheroes, as evidenced by all of his work, and it really showed in The Killing Joke.

“The third one is the one where he’s sad that he got friendzoned despite being sensitive and caring about Africa:”

Because unreasonable obsession is comedy gold, amirite?

And there’s the empathetic response. Lemme guess, Blackhawks fan?

This isn’t the first time I’ve seen disgusting shit from the Blackhawks and their fans. Last year when Backes went down, the Chicago players were heard taunting him, and you could see Chicago fans in the front rows screaming hate at him too. I mean the guy went down like a sack of potatoes, he’s clearly hurt bad, and

When even Deadspin can’t agree with a story attacking the Cardinals or their fans, you know that the story has no substance.

No offense, but this wouldn’t be the Mark X. The Mark series was the coupe based on the Ford Thunderbird starting with the Mark III. Meanwhile, the Continental became a midsize sedan based on the Taurus for its last two generations, with only one generation based on the Thunderbird. The Mark series ended with the Mark

So the hate for Batman V Superman is now one giant conspiracy? Because the same meeting apparently happened for the members of 70 percent of all media that reviews movies.

No, no, no. We do not need marital strife in The Incredibles. We had enough of that in the first one. If we have more it’ll just be depressing instead of serving the plot.

You know, this isn’t the first time news outlets have done this shit. CNN “accidentally” doxxed the victim in the Steubenville rape case and the same shit happened to her.

The Wrath of Khan could probably be a step of its own. It’s not only the single best Trek movie ever made, it ranks high on my personal list of the best written sci fi movies ever. Almost every line is a witticism, a clever counterpoint, or filled with significant meaning. It has so much going on and yet it all ties

Kind of a shame that it takes a YouTube skit for us to see a black Batman. I wish Marvel and DC would follow the precedent set by Miles Morales and start reimagining their extensive white casts with more POC.

Let’s get something straight: the primary female voice in the anti vaxxer nut group comes from *affluent, privileged, white* women. Why is autism so much more concerning than the risk of contracting dangerous and fatal diseases? Because to affluent, white mothers, children are a trophy through which they live

You’re not being called “grump,” “Grinch,” or “literally the worst commenter that’s not in the grays” because you’re criticizing a Bernie supporter. It’s because you fail to see the joy or beauty in simple, human moments. Especially when such a moment occurs in the middle of what’s been a very ugly election cycle.

There was definitely some sexism going on. To quote William Shatner in his book Star Trek Memories: “They used velour, which was cheap and easy to work with, and female skin, which was free and easy to look at."

I personally got the feeling that the costume designer’s only goal in the season finale was to make the suit look half decent, functionality be damned. They’ve probably reworked it to be a lot more flexible for the second season so Matt Murdock can go back to gracefully kicking the shit out of hapless thugs.

That’s encouraging. One of my biggest fears after the godawful final fight in the first season was that the incredibly kinetic fight scenes were a thing of the past.

There is, in the first Age of Empires. Type “photonman” into the chat box, and you get a unit named “nuke trooper.” You can generate unlimited nuke troopers (maybe limited by the population, but I can’t remember). Their range and DPS are blisteringly high, and a squad of them can wipe out an entire enemy empire in no

It is absolutely the joke you think it is. Enjoy. :)
