There should be a course that every student has to do that is purely about that fact: that not everything you learn has to be useful, that the purpose of school is to learn how to learn, that you never know when a seemingly useless skill will come in handy in unexpected ways… I feel like this would not only save A LOT

I guess that's what I meant. Not that it's like The Breakfast Club but that it has a similar standing as an important teen film of its era. I just found it odd that it was missing from the article's re-cap of high school movies since The Breakfast Club.

I definitely found it a more accurate reflection of high school group dynamics but I was a teenager of the 00s so it was speaking my language.
