Yeah, it's pretty weird. But imagine if that's what actually happened. Yikes.

In flagrant disregard for my usual 'books before TV/movie versions' rule, I started reading the books after seeing the TV series (up to Storm of Swords). I found that I was able to get through the books much more quickly than I otherwise would have because I spent less time working out who was who and connecting

Upvoted for Fawlty Towers! I'm always shocked that there's only 12 episodes.

Have you heard about the owl theory?

I like how you chose a book that was part of a plagiarism controversy and a book that caused a centuries long debate about classification of fiction/non-fiction/historical fiction. Hurray for arguments!

I'll definitely give it a go. Someone somewhere along the line has made me have low expectations of it, but of course that can sometimes lead to even better surprises!

I was surprised by how gripped I was by the whole process of the group "casing" the towers and sneaking in there. I was on the edge of my seat, even though obviously I knew that he made it out onto the wire. I also really like the way they handled 9/11. You could tell that they knew it was going to hang over the whole

Way jealous! Sadly they toured where I live (for the first time ever!) in 2013, just before I got into them. I loved the first album so much that I almost feel like 'saving' the next one for some delayed gratification. That probably won't happen though!

I got obsessed with Television's Marquee Moon (or maybe that was last year and continued into this year?). Now wondering if I should listen to their other (supposedly lesser) albums… Finally saw the movie Man on Wire, which was breathtaking. Was in awe of the first two seasons of Rectify. For books I finally caught

Fossils Schmossils. Bones Schmones.

How about a crazy wedding? Where something happens… doo doo doo doo doo doo. [Which is kind of an apt summary of later episodes!]

Weirdly this was around the time I stopped watching regularly too and yet these lyrics are etched in my brain.

Mr. Plow, Homer space, Sideshow Bob steps on rakes,

Whenever I get this song in my head it starts off with the 'We Didn't Start the Fire' lyrics then starts shifting into the 'Never Stop the Simpsons' lyrics…

Bank Panic!

Yeah I did end up watching the rest of them eventually and enjoyed them all especially 'White Bear' and 'The Entire History of You'. Well maybe enjoyed isn't the right word! Looking forward to the Christmas special.

Every so often that part with Ilana and the subway pole pops into my head. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at something so slapstick-ish.

They have outside on computers now.

After watching the first episode of 'Black Mirror' I couldn't bring myself to watch the next ones for months because I was so unsettled by it!

When Martha said "It can't be my belt", at first I thought she was saying that her belt was some kind of fashionable but not practical fake belt that she couldn't detach from her pants… yeah.
