I don't think most gamers care enough (or even know) about these awards to vote. You'll get more critiques and complaints than you will praise or vote on games.

Should there be a rating system built into the console that pops up once you beat the game, got to a certain playtime length?

I'd hate to be a game developer. The internet demands new content so ferociously like a dog foaming at the mouth.

I'm fine with focusing on melee+Magic combo. Maybe performing combinations can give skill points to spend on your character. I wished I could have fleshed the character tree out more.

Maps in W2 felt Escher-like.

Alyx's Dad dying at the end was pretty sad.

This didn't destroy me but yes the fight at the end played out really retrospectively and made that fight on top of the sub gave that "It's all come down to this." feeling.
