I'll allow it!

I completely agree. For as much as I love The Witcher 3, you can easily get fatigued with that game. It is marvelous, but at around the 100 hour mark (including both DLC), I hit my limit. It took me about 4 months to complete the final DLC. I enjoyed it, but the prospect of pumping another 20 hours into the game was

That may be what you do on the AV Club, but not on Gameological. Here we like to keep conversations civil, thoughtful, and scintillating.

There are douchebags that will exclude people for under performing, but there are plenty of casual, welcoming groups. I am quite mediocre and my group hasn't kicked me out yet. Probably because I'm good for at least one good mom joke per raid.

Shit. That's a good point. I friggin' hate Avatar, but it's a great comparison. You are correct, the shoots bits are A+ and the story is lacking. However, I will say Destiny for me is all about the camaraderie. I've met some great people and had great times with the game.

I get that. It is still a pain at times to wrangle people together for a raid.

Avatar?! That's cold, man.

Haven't gotten there yet, but swamps are never fun.

The DLCs are long. This last one I considered just doing the main story, but all of the question marks were bugging me AND I had a vineyard to rebuild. Had to get the money from somewhere!

Yes!! Those articles are what made me purchase Destiny. I was on the fence until then.

Yeah, that was pretty useless. I like using Murder and following it up with fire. Being attacked by crows on fire had to be horrifying.

My favorites are the new Vault of Glass raid cloak with the digital ornament; the Legend of Six Coyotes cloak; and the Cloak of Taniks. I'd link to them, but I'm lazy.

^All of this.

Whatever the attack is where they turn into s giant ghost monster and mess you up. The form looks like the humanity-shaped ghosts from the DS1 DLC.

Death is an inevitability in Souls. I'll be fine after my first 20 deaths.

I've never played it, but some friends are saying it sounds more like Halo's multiplayer.

True. And figuring out you have to take out the hollow mages before the giant humanity attack.

I usually get a sinking feeling when I see Plasma Discs and Mechtoids appear on a map.

There certainly is a Fashion Souls element to Destiny. It's why I play as a Hunter: for the all the snazzy cloaks.

Me too! The fact that snipers and shotguns are considered heavy weapons and only one person can pick up a heavy brick at a time in Crucible matches is HUGE!! More focus on using primary weapons is always a good thing.
