Looks like I picked the wrong review to read, during lunch.

For anyone who has played it: How steep is the learning curve for people who are veterans of the XCOM series? Is it a completely different feel/strategy compared to the video game or can you have enough of a grasp of the basic concept to dive right in?

Nice! I'll definitely check it out.

Sounds like I've got to get a move on! I just downloaded the first one, I'm stoked about starting it.

No, but the vibrations through the speakers were what drew me in.

I never had a gaming system, until the PS1 (my parents wouldn't let me have an NES, Super Nintendo, etc), so I missed out on a lot of the classic essentials. If I did have the opportunity to go pack, I would give my younger self a couple hundred bucks to buy a system and get FF6. That game is very revered on this

Fuck yes! Screw my answer, this is the best.

A space hamster. It's more exciting than a normal hamster.

That's a badass playlist!

I always thought grinding was an optional ending to Drink the Beer. WOO!!

Don't get me wrong, the story was good (if not deeply disturbing), but I could not wait to get out of the Deep Roads.

The next batch of team members are much more entertaining, although I never had a problem with Cassandra and Varric. BTW, "Crocodilus Pontifex" is such an awesome name. Next time I start a new game on anything, I'm going to ask you what the character should be called.

One thing, though, if you get to rank 3. DO NOT JOIN ANOTHER COVENANT! If you do, you'll lose half of the humanity you gave her, so you'll have to get more to get back up to rank 3. You can farm consumable humanity in the Duke's Archive prison.

People of the internet, please observe: DL and Arex discussed a topic in a logical, civil manner and calmly brought up some valid points and counterpoints. You see, internet? This is how you have a discussion!

Thanks! Well, I think @ChumJoely:disqus convinced me to get Hotline Miami, so I will probably treat myself to that. Or I may get off my ass and finally get XCOM: Enemy Within.

Yes, Artorias is fairly magic resistant. I managed to take him down with the help of a Sunbro, on my magic build. My dex build could match his quickness, but it was still a tough fight.

Dark Souls is depressing, that's part of the fun!

Oh man, I forgot about that one. I'll probably play through DA:O, again, but with Dragon Age Keep, I can just start right in with DA2. If they do something like that with Mass Effect, I may never play ME1 again.

A milk stout will go well with cake, right?

24 hours? You've got a long road ahead of you. Enjoy!
