Yes, it really makes you think about how much you really want a guy. It also makes settling on other players very interesting. I play with a lot of Bears fans, so homer-ism plays a lot in player value.

You don't need to go that way, until near the end of the game and like PatBat said, you'll get the Silver Knight spear by then. No worries about that.

You need a divine weapon to kill skeletons. When I first say skeletons, I thought, "Hell yeah, skeletons are always low level characters, this is where I need to go!" Nope. Unless you have a divine weapon (you can craft one or pick one up later), they'll just regenerate. Well played, Dark Souls.

I'm still pretty terrible at it, but it is very addictive.. My highest score is 9,000-something, but I routinely get into the 1,500-3,000 range.
