Dude has 793 followers on Instagram and like a dozen posts. If he doesn’t have a following now, it’s not gonna change when he buys a $68k Hyundai.
Hyundai dealers gonna do what Hyundai dealers do. $68k is a lot of money for a Hyundai. $88k is Porsche money. For either amount, you can buy a used, very low mileage Porsche Taycan 4S of varying years that has taken the brunt of depreciation already.
Porsche’s PTS selection has a lot of greats. I’m partial to yellow sportscars, and I bought a yellow Cayman myself. BUT the best Porsche yellow is Speed Yellow(below):
Imagine paying ANY markup for run of the mill CUV disposable appliances that will be made in the tens, if not hundreds of thousands over the next 3-4 years.
I don’t know this guy but he looks like the type to do what he did. At his advanced age, a Herman Cain Award is a shadow looming over him for every day that passes. I’m sure he’ll receive it one day with that attitude.
If ceramic coating still spiderwebs, hazes, and then you still have to pay redo it, then what’s the point? Bare car paint would need paint correction every few years too, but that just just skips the bullshit and big money(and/or labor) people have to pay for ceramic coating to be applied.
For every one good dealer, there are a hundred terrible dealers.
You sure are making a lot of assumptions here.
Another day, another instance of dealership techs fucking up a customer car. WRX owner is smart to have a lawyer in his pocket. Fuck the face to face back and forth. Let the lawyer handle it and get paid.
Econobox appliances are low hanging fruit answers for this QOTD. I don’t think car makers even really care about the designs for their high volume disposable appliances. They’ll sell no matter how they look. They do the bare minimum, and that is it.
Brand new and self specced $90k Porsche 718 Cayman S, financed $50k @ 3.9% 48 months with a credit union, $1125. Bought January 2024.
$100k for a Chrysler product is insane. What’s even crazier is that Wranglers start at what? $40k? $100k paid for a $40k chassis with a $20k engine is nuts. Most of these will never see dirt on a regular basis, so buyers are settling for something that’s loud, terribly built, and has a plasticky interior.
I liked it at first, then 5 minutes later, I knew I was gonna hate it. I did 100% the region, and that took some time. I’m glad I did, because I never, ever want to revisit Gongaga ever again. The music variety was non existent compared to the previous regions as well. On to Cosmo Canyon, which I know will be better.
The older, lighter chassis was great. Now, this shared platform with the SL brings the weight up by 400-600 lbs. That is not a good thing.
I don’t mind that it’s a 4 cylinder. I spent a lot of money on a new 718 Cayman S. Performance is performance in my eyes. I do mind that it shares the same platform as the SL, which brings the weight up 400-600 lbs. That’s the disappointing part. I still think it looks cool as hell.
Cool story dude. Don’t you try to flip this around. I’m not angry. I’m actually pretty amused by this. Typical Rennlist argument. I didn’t write an entire paragraph trying to rationalize why skipping Sport PASM is the better choice. I merely said I would always spec the sportiest stuff I could afford. You took offense…
Marketing or not, there are tangible changes in speccing Sport PASM to make it drive even sportier. I NEVER once said that the 911 doesn’t drive well without Sport PASM. But for me specifically, if I’m going to buy a sportscar, I’m going to get the sportiest one I can afford. That would include PTV, SC, and Sport…
Well, it sounds like most 992 base buyers should just opt for the T or S at minimum then. Sport PASM has stiffer anti-sway bars and spring rates front and rear. It’s not ‘just a 10mm drop’ as you’re saying it is. If your driveway is steep, you can option front axle lift with Sport PASM and you’ll have the sport…
Nearly every disposable appliance cookie cutter commuter cars have what I consider ‘must-haves’ as minimum standard already. Specifically, CarPlay.
