The fact that royal families exist in modern times is fucking dumb.

Every single best fast Ford comes from Europe.

I’m diggin it.

I really think that if Toyota builds 10000 GRCs and MT Supras each for even one model year here in North America, every single one would sell. Markups may not even be as bad either, since there is more supply to go around. I feel that a lot of car enthusiasts are scrambling to buy their ‘final’ or ‘forever’ ICE fun

If Renault brought the R5 Turbo stateside, do you think they would have gave it the proper name? Or would it have been called Le Car Turbo?

You are absolutely right. 15 years ago, there were a lot less ‘track ready’ cars to buy, but more fun DDs that can be turned in to track ready cars relatively easily. Today, in the under $40k category, you have the GTI, Civic SI/Integra, and GR86/BRZ. Even the Elantra N and Kona N fall in to the bonkers fun category

I found an non-answer-answer to my original question courtesy of another website.

Crazy how much weight they were able to shave off. But a full time AWD car coming in at less than 3300 lbs today is impressive. The Core is at least 150-300 lbs less than its current AWD competition and what it would have competed against had it been released 5 years ago.

Oh yea. Toyota spent a lot of money developing this drivetrain for racing, then spent even more to make it streetable. I don’t know how much money Toyota is making for each GRY or GRC sold, but I’d guess it’s between barely breaking even to losing money. I feel that this car is a labor of love. Kind of like the R32

Another question... Does the infotainment system or gauge cluster have a section that shows things like oil and water temps, boost, oil pressure, etc? In numerical values?

I’d like to think so. Most of that money is going in to the once homologated engine and drivetrain that isn’t in any other car besides the GRY. Which is unlike everyone else that is using that’s using a souped up economy engine. That alone makes this car extra special.

Coming to a sideshow and spectator drag near you.

That hair ain’t it. It doesn’t really match Kiryu’s personality. Ichiban’s crazy hair is a perfect match for his character, but Kiryu’s is.... unfortunate.

Here’s the question everyone’s been waiting for the answer for:

If you are executive for an ‘essential’ industry, it would be in your best interest to pay workers well, give them real benefits, and even more PTO. Save the ‘you guys are doing a great job and this country would fall apart without all of you’ bullshit speech and compensate workers fairly if they are that ‘essential’.

If they couldn’t sell the sedan to regular normies, they should have just given us the wagon version in limited quantities so enthusiasts get to have another wagon they don’t buy.

This is badass.

Holy shit. She’ll get the book thrown at her. On a related note, I don’t know how one can get to 130MPH in LA’s crowded streets. She much have been driving well beyond reckless. The one thing I feel is unbelievable is that she wasn’t driving a Nissan Altima.

The comments section on BAT says the owner asked the dealer about it and it was apparently fine after pressure testing. The engine must just evaporate a lot of water content in the coolant. Plus barely any owners drive these things. What odd engine characteristics we might find on standard consumer cars could very

It’s grip tape for more grip. You know, for when you don’t want to wear gloves but your hands get sweaty. The seats are ‘ripped’ to allow for the use of a 5 point harness. This car was likely both a DD and driven to track days and back.
