Isn’t Texas the energy capital of the country?

Florida. Run by the party of limited government or the party of projection?

They can stay JDM only. If these accessories make it stateside, every fucking dealer is going to tack on this entire catalog, along with whatever markup they want on the new CTRs. $60k Civic anyone? Not that far from the realm of possibility.

I think you’re right about the wheel arch flare from the FK8. The bolted on look would have been great with this new body. That would have been the in-between 2 extremes look that most people would be fine with. As far as the wing goes, Honda was probably going strictly for aerodynamic functionality with this one. But

Holy shit. Ariel is building the car that all 7 year olds inside of us has always wanted.

Really? I guess it’s a matter of which cars suit your fancy. As a huge fan of hot hatches and the like, I think Europe gets all the cool cars. Renault Sport hatches, the GR Yaris, GTI TCR/Clubsport, Fiesta ST, i20N, i30N, etc.

I’m left-leaning. Always have, and always will be. I also was also raised in California and lived there until my late 20s. I love the state. But the left pushing this to quick jump to EVs is something I wholeheartedly disagree with. I feel that it’s just pandering, and politicians have done practically zero research

Yes, of course. But it’s about the principle for me. VW is sandbagging NA market cars for no discernible reason. It was fine and accepted back in the day when each region had unique platforms, but just about every car is a global platform today. Including the Golf.

Of course VW gives us the neutered version, as they have for last decade. This whole, only Europe gets the good stuff while the rest of the world doesn’t, reminds me of the JDM cars in the 90s, and Mitsubishi Evos in the 2000s. And precisely why I won’t ever buy a VW.

The 16 people who couldn’t hang probably decided to just sell their crappy Tesla.

That C-pillar window kink ruins the entire car for me. I wish that it was straight rather than curved. Overall, it looks a little awkward. Especially when viewed from the rear at 3/4s. And the wing, which I’m sure is very functional, looks tacked on. Because it is.

No doubt in my mind that it’s fine with the helical LSD. The only issue I have with helical LSDs is that the torque bias ratio can’t get as aggressive as a clutch type. So much more traction can be unlocked with a clutch-type, even if it’s only a 60% lock up. I bet Honda went helical for maintenance reasons. But on a

Oh definitely. But a factory ‘track ready car’ would have stricter maintenance requirements anyway. It comes with the territory.

I feel like this should have come with a 1 or 1.5-way clutch-type LSD, considering its track intentions. Clutch types are better at consistently pushing power to the wheel that needs it the most, and a FWD car with this much power is going to need it.

I’ve been lurking the CTR forums. There’s a huge overheating thread in which those who did cooling upgrades, nay, full cooling overhauls are still seeing high temps on track. I think the general consensus now is that the actual airflow to the heat exchangers are severely lacking. It’s bad bodywork design by Honda. I

Man, I really hope Honda fixed the cooling on the new CTR. What’s 326 horsepower and razor handling if it wilts and goes in to limp mode in 3 laps?

This is probably the only thing I agree with what Tesla is and has been doing. Death to dealerships. All it takes is one state to take Tesla’s side and that starts the precedent and chain reaction for other states to follow.

With an average salary of only $51,000 per week, how ever will they get to their games now?

Toyota is reached king of the hill by over-engineering cars in the 80s. Then doubled down on that over-engineering in the 90s, cementing its reputation across the entire world for decades to come. Toyota easily has the largest, and longest lasting brand loyalty out of any car maker today, because they made reliable,

Hyundai Veloster N. I admittedly, WAS(not any more) a badge snob and had wrote modern Hyundai off as the same company from the 90s. I wanted the FK8 CTR but I was not willing to pay markup or participate in bidding wars. The VN was actually last on my list. I looked at the Golf GTI/R, but they were just too subdued
