48000 globally and under 20,000 sold in the USA by the end of 2021 for CTRs in its 5 year run. That’s not a lot. Toyota should beat those numbers. I hope Toyota makes more than 4000 GRCs per year for the US market.

That settles it. Flying to Seattle (or dealers outside my state) to buy the GRC and drive it back to KCMO. 

I understand that much. What I meant was that if Toyota has the means and resources to keep making these, they should, rather than slow down production to increase hype and scarcity. On purpose.

They shouldn’t have bought them at those ridiculous marked up prices. Only reason mark ups become the norm is because dealers are seeing other dealers sell cars for 20-30% over MSRP. I don’t feel sorry for people holding the bag because they perpetuated the problem to begin with.

Toyota needs to not limit production on these. Make a lot of them. I just want to be able to walk in to a dealership spring or summer of next year and buy one for MSRP. Is that too much to ask? Dealerships will be the death of this car and sportscars in general. WE want to buy these cars. But not one penny over MSRP.

This just completely shits on the next gen Civic Type R. RIP. BUT I hope Toyota floods the market with these(relatively speaking for performance cars) so these dirty, pig-shit eating, greedy dealers are less inclined to mark them up. I also hope these have at least 4-5 model years.

I think people should buy cars if they only absolutely need a car in these times today. It’s a seller’s market. Dealer markups are real, and buying a new car for the sake of buying a new car just perpetuates dealer markups because people are willing to pay these bullshit prices.
