As horrible as this story is, and as embarrassing as it is that Broyles is a Democrat, it would have been even worse if she’d been a Republican candidate. In Oklahoma. We’d be hearing talk of sin and redemption, of temptation and and maybe evil demons and the Rapture and God knows what else.

Let me interpret as a white lady suburban mom where drinking culture is prevalent and glorified:

To celebrate Valentine’s Day weekend, Broyles was invited to chaperone a tween girls’ sleepover at the house of a former law school friend.

If people are going to fall on the sword of “I have a problem, that’s why I did what I did”, then they’re more responsible than anyone to take care of the problem.  Saying “I’ve got a problem” doesn’t absolve people of responsibility and consequences of their actions.

Getting obliteratedly drunk and high. Making fun of teens. Blaming someone else for her behavior…. Welp we just need making fun of person with a disability and sexually assaulting someone and the GOP will soon be flipping her and vetting her for the Vice Presidency.

No matter how often it’s used as a supposedly appropriate excuse, I will never understand the protestations of, “That’s not me! That’s not who I am! I would never do that!” It seems that it’s always exactly who the person is and exactly what they would do.  Because they did.

Why would a woman tell another woman, “you don’t have to deal with or compete with a bunch of men like I do”.

Jesus. Leaving out the fact that she goes on and on and WILL NOT SHUT UP and let us just enjoy the seven (well, six, really...Hallows was weak) good books she wrote, what is it J.K. thinks is going to happen if trans women are called women? Is her vagina going to fall off? Will we all suddenly become sterile?

Will Smith still does the mildly buzzy prestige piece like King Richard, as opposed to cameos in action movies produced by the guy who inspired Turtle in Entourage like Willis does, so I think he’s still above.

It’s not entirely her fault. Blame casting. But if she's reading for a part that calls for a 40-something woman, she could point out that she wouldn't pass for one.

I think Jennifer Lawrence was even less believable in “American Hustle.”

Or late 30s. It’s not clear but...

... JLaw is supposed to be 40-something in Silver Linings Playbook?

The guy’s pretty much the last “movie star” at this point.

Jennifer Lawrence was so not believable in that movie.

The people who whine about “cancel culture” are the ones most likely to engage in it or only care when it affects them or someone whose politics they agree with.

I felt absolutely secure in my position”, and I’m in excellent spirits and very pleased with my relationship with WB and Avalanche” is a great example of “I’m not mad” when the rest of server chat asks “why you so mad?”.

There’s something especially foolish about thinking, or trying to convince others, that a man who makes his opinions about gaming as a whole well-known is somehow not going to let those views impact his work as a lead game designer and therefore it is somehow wrong to point out what his views are. So a dude who thinks

Yeesh that school shooter take. A fair amount of school shootings are perpetrated by kids/teens, his answer is just... Shoot them first?

It’s not even just “anti-SJW”.
