Mossadegh was voted as PM by the Parliament 79-12. Parliament was elected. Mossadegh was more of a democratic leader than, say, Thomas Jefferson. He was elevated by the Electoral College in a nation where women and minorities couldn’t vote.

A large part of it was the bullshit Operation Ajax, and attempt to make him look like a communist; another massive part was the British effort to buy off various groups in Iran - the armed forces, the Majlis (Iranian parliament), religious leaders, the press, street gangs,…

This is nonsense. The coup was begun by a clear misinformation campaign by the CIA meant to make Mossadegh look like a communist. All of that has been declassified. It was called Operation Ajax, lead by Kermit Roosevelt, Jr. It was bullshit.
