Hey Groupthink! I’ve spent countless hours trying to pick a simple duvet cover, but cannot seem to actually pull the trigger.
It’s been a long while since I’ve posted here, but I need some outside perspective. I’ve basically jumped from long-term relationship to long-term relationship my whole life, with one night stands in-between. Every casual hookup that I’ve had that’s lasted longer than a week or two has turned into a full fledged…
I’ve been browsing HBO/Showtime/Amazon/Netflix for the past hour trying to find something that’s up my alley. So many options but nothing is appealing. What should I watch next? I’m fairly caught up on all the recent popular stuff and in the mood for something lighthearted-dramedy, just not too heavy. Things I’ve…
I’ve been cooking dinner while listening to the Serena and Sharapova match, and my ears perked up when I heard one of the commentators mention Sharapova’s “edge” in marketability. Like, it’s not untrue, but I think it’s worth mentioning why (thin, white, not necessarily in that order).
Personal travel agents, you have never steered me wrong. I’m headed to Portland for 3 days and need some recommendations. Things I like are: good food, beer, music, good food. We’re going to rent a car one day and get outdoorsy. Any ideas there? Lastly, I’ve got late reservations at Le Pigeon. Worth it or no?
What are y’all watching on the TV/Netflix/Amazon/dozens of other options these days?
I’ve been meaning to apply to law school forever. Took the LSAT right out of college but was then scared away by the depression and the hundreds of “Don’t go to law school!” articles. I ended up finding a decent job in a different area where I make good to great money, but I don’t love what I do. And now this…
What are you listening to right now? Either music that’s new to you or new to...the universe.
I just got word that I may be moving to Dallas in the next month or two. It’d be a huge step up professionally, and I’ll have the opportunity to be part of a team building a company from the ground up. I’m excited.
I’m planning a trip to Austin with some friends in the coming months, but I can’t figure out which neighborhood to stay in! We’d like something with a neighborhood feel but walk-able to a few cool bars, restaurants, etc, although we will have a car available. Any ideas? I’ll also happily take recommendations for…
I have a small collection of cookbooks, but I find that I never touch half of them, reach for a few every once in a while, and have dogeared and dirtied the pages of just one: The Smitten Kitchen Cookbook.
He was this fucking creeper in Atonement:
My boyfriend and I are having some relatively new couple friends over for dinner this weekend.
At least three of the older men in my office will lean against my door frame and move slowly back and forth while it massages/scratches their back when they talk to me.
I'm going to Seattle for a long weekend soon, and while I've got all my tourist activities on lock, I need food recommendations!
What with the NFL's recent handling of domestic abuse, and the suicides and murder suicides resulting from CTE, both in college football and the NFL, with Kosta Karageorge of Ohio State being the most recent casualty.
This post inspired by my boyfriend's mom calling him three times in a row, just now, despite their having talked earlier today.
that it's been a month and a half and I have not yet received my security deposit back from my landlords? The lease says it will be returned in a "timely" manner, and I've always been sent a check within 30 days from the move-out date.
Here are mine:
It's been a while since I've had to be a social animal and I think I forgot how to do it. For some context, I moved to a new city about a year ago, and outside of my boyfriend's friends, who are very nice people and absorbed me into their friend group, I've yet to meet someone I click with or could call just to hang…
