Yeah that was an unnecessary change. I didn’t even like the chrome grille, I swapped mine out for a color matched one off the Si. I did like the 09 tail lights though with amber turn signals. I swapped those on my 08 too!
Im probably in the minority here, but I actually really liked the design of the 8th gen Civic, which debuted in 2006. The edges were smooth and the design flowed really well. I even had an 08 for a while.
