I’ve been saying it for the past 12 months: it’s a marketing stunt gone horribly, horribly awry. Absolutely nothing has happened in the past year that’s changed my mind.

Last week Full Frontal had a former policy advisor on. He said an entire team had been hired to help Trump’s campaign come up with policies, and this man, although a conservative, was also a moderate and joined hoping that he could keep things more even keeled than the batshittery that the campaign was spewing.

The problem that I see with this is that you equate treating you with civility - treating you as human - as treating you like you’re white. What would “treating you like you’re black” entail? Never mind. Don’t answer that.

So. I haven’t really said anything about this dumpster fire of an election to anyone, because I’m a suburban black guy who manages an office of white staff. People think I’m white on the phone until they hear my name. I have a white wife and kids who pass.

‘Facts’ don’t matter for most people when it comes to stuff like this. They’ll just blame the lying media or biased websites if they don’t just outright ignore it.

I leave you with this: The fact that a majority of the voters thought Trump was the “lesser” of two “evils” is far more disturbing than any issues they had or imagine they had.
